Jezus, those guys are such jerks. I met one a few days ago, a 'famous' one. We had a talk about his 'jobs', it seemed cool to me, and I asked him to hack something for me. So he did, and it seemed he got the job done. The FTP I wanted access to wasn't that important to me, but it was nice to see him at work. But that night, when he was long gone, I had a hacking attempt on my computer. I guess it was that asshole, who else could it be? My computer is secured like hell. But when I checked out my gateways, I found this:

Responds with ICMP unreachable: Yes
TCP ports: 25 110 1025 5000 30821
UDP ports: 7 9 11 53 67 68 69 111 123 135 137 138 161 191 192 256 260 407 445 500 514 520 1009 1028 1900 2140 31337

Check out:
RPC
SNMP

The son of a bitch had unlocked every gateway he ever could possibly open! 32 open gates. RPC and SNMP can give them access to login information. Well, of course, before you attempt something now, notice that everything is closed now. I lost about 40gb of music, but luckely I have backups. I'll get even with him for this attack. Luckely I noticed it on time to block any further damage done to my computer(s). My security is back up, and I'dd like to see him try again now. I have a feeling this will continue for the next weeks or even months. Like I haven't got anything better to do. So be it.

Hackers seem nice persons, and only hack computers, servers, FTP's, and sites for 'the greater cause'. My ass! I've noticed something different that night.

I know a handful of super-hackers, so I sat down and thought about what they have in common. Their defining quality is probably that they really love to program. Ordinary programmers write code to pay the bills. Great hackers think of it as something they do for fun, and which they're delighted to find people will pay them for.

Great programmers are sometimes said to be indifferent to money. This isn't quite true. It is true that all they really care about is doing interesting work. But if you make enough money, you get to work on whatever you want, and for that reason hackers are attracted by the idea of making really large amounts of money. But as long as they still have to show up for work every day, they care more about what they do there than how much they get paid for it.

I have some skills too. But by far not enough to hack into a server. I can attack e-mailaddresses that easy. It's just a trick that becomes a habbit after a while. Don' bother mailing me just to ask me how to hack a hotmail of yahoo account, unless you want me to wear out my delete key. If you want to know something, go out and explore. I can give you one hint: use google. Google is your friend, and can teach you anything you want to know.

Now, go out and h4ck the planet! (this is some h4ck3r$ lingo or something I really don't care about! l33t!)
